Followlogie is a space to showcase your talents, your work and your creativity!
Whether you’re breaking the ice or a seasoned competitor, you’ll find some challenge, we can guarantee!
And if you don’t take part in the competition, we invite you to encourage dancers determination and enthusiasm!

Descriptions & rules
Solo Blues
This is a solo competition. Dancers will be dancing on various styles of blues music selected by our recognized DJ’s.
The prelims will start with an all-skate and the finalists will be selected by tap-in method. The finals will be performed in a spotlight . Judges will evaluate elements that all blues dances have in common, such as ground anchoring, heartbeat, and athletic posture, including your body’s reaction to the music (the rhythm, the momentum in your weight transfers and your response to the melody).
Solo Jazz Battle
This is a vernacular solo jazz competition. Dancers will play with vintage solo jazz styles, including variations of Charleston, blues, big apple, black bottom, shim sham, etc.
The dancers will dance to music selected by Followlogie during the prelims, then to the music performed live by Lily T. & Tea for 20’s for the finals.
The prelims will be in all-skate format and the finalists will be selected by tap-in method. The finals will be in a battle format. Competitors drawn at the start of the finals will have to demonstrate their hard earned skills by dancing against other competitors who will also have to show everything they got. Be ready!
Solo Jazz Team
This division is designated for vernacular jazz team choreographies comprising of at least 3 people.
Music will be selected and provided by the teams at least one week before the event to our head DJ.
This division features solo dance teams, which means no partner dancing is allowed. The routines must last at least The song must be minimum 2 minutes. Judges will be evaluating the technique, level of difficulty, performance and execution of the choreography.
B Side
This is a Lindy Hop Mix and Match Reversed Roles competition. A brand new competition that we’re introducing this year, B Side is a competition that asks Lindy Hop dancers to register in the role (leader or follower) that is not their primary role.
The couples will dance on the music selected by Followlogie during the prelims and during the finals.
The prelims will be in an all-skate format and the finalists will be selected by the judges. The finals will be in a spotlight format. Judges will judge couples according to their timing, technique, teamwork and musicality.
